Palerme
Palerme, la capitale de la Sicile est une ville particulièrement intéressante à visiter qui s’étend sur plusieurs collines dont les sommets offrent des vues incroyables. A Palerme, vous devez visiter la cathédrale et voir le « Palazzo dei Normanni » (à l’époque le château royal) parmi de luxuriants palmiers, au cœur de beaux jardins.

Castellammare del Golfo
La ville de Castellammare date de l’an 827 A.C. A l’origine, elle fut le port de la ville de Ségeste.
Castellammare conserve encore aujourd’hui des vestiges de son époque. Le littoral est très beau. Il forme une alternance de petite baies aux plages de sable fin et de promontoires rocheuse aux formes particulières. Aux alentours de castellammare del Golfo, se trouve Le Parc National Zingaro, le premier parc naturel en Sicile. Le bord de mer est resté non contaminé.

Raguse

De Catania, il est facile de faire une excursion au Mont Etna distant environ 34km. Un funiculaire vous porte au sommet à 3396 m d’altitude d’où vous dominez toute l’île. L’Etna est le plus grand volcan en activité d’Europe. Sa base a un diamètre de 40km et sa circonférence est de 145km.
